About Our 2007 Fair

2007 fair

Our 2007 event was only our second fair and yet we had nearly 300 people through the doors with people travelling from as far as Derby and Nottingham to attend!

There were almost double the amount of stalls compared to our 2006 fair, including stalls from well respected national organisations such as the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Animals Asia Foundation and The Vegan Society. At the same there where stalls from many local groups including Leicester Badger Group, Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital, Leicester Green Party, Leicestershire Vegans and Vegetarians and Green and Pleasant Wholefoods.

As always the event was a family friendly affair with colouring in tables, a face painter, tombola, raffle and brick a brack stalls to rummage through (the most fun form of recycling).

New to the event was a talks room which proved incredibly popular. All the speakers were excellent and gave people the chance to learn more about compassionate living, from saving moon bears in China to humane medical research.

Meanwhile in the café the food was so popular that within a few hours it had sold out!

Fair goers where invited to fill out a questionnaire before they left and those that filled them in were entered into a free prize draw, with our lucky winner winning a gorgeous box of vegan soaps.

All our fairs are fundraising events and the money raised was donated to animal and vegan causes.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and we hope to see you again
