Our 2006 fair was the first fair we organised and was arranged in just 8 weeks! Why the urgency? well there was a life at stake! Our first fair was a fundraiding event to save Blondelle the cow from slaughter and we were on a time limit to raise the money. We had never organised a fair before but never the less I think we made a valiant first effort. Although it was a rather modest affair about 150-200 people attended and most importantly we raised enough to save Blondelle.

Many of the things we continue to offer at the fair today were offered from the very beginning. Including activities for children, a raffle, tombola and brick a brack stalls. We knew how important is was to make the fair family friendly and appeal to lots of different age groups. Stalls included Windmill Organics, Jungle Neem, Equality Ethical Clothing, Viva! (Vegetarains International Voice for Animals), Leicestershire Vegans and Vegetarians and Hippo

Our 2006 event really laid down foundations for future events and was very much a learning experiance. If you came to a first event then thank you very much for your support.

We aim to carry on as we started, and that is to provide a fun yet educational event that has a positive atmosphere and that raises money for animal causes at the same time. We hope to see you at our 2008 event.
